fiesta de gingerbean

hey, y’all!
so a few weeks ago i had to make a little trip to good ‘ol tejas for a little business that i had to take care of. totally not for fun, strictly for business.
little did i know, my best friend and all of my closest friends were scheming behind my back to plan the most wonderful surprise baby shower!

i literally had no idea.
preslee did such an amazing job of keeping mum and so did everyone else! i really am surprised i didn’t pee my pants when they all jumped out and screamed surprise…or was it ‘OLE’….you see, i don’t even remember because i was so dang scared! haha

i cannot even begin to tell you how loved and special i felt. i have the most amazing group of friends. they always go above and beyond for me and i am forever grateful. my mama and sister made it too, which made it 100 times more special since i haven’t seen them since the wedding.

before i get to the photos i just want to give some shoutouts and kudos!

and a HUGE thank you to posh print design for creating all of the awesome props, signs, cupcake toppers, and screen printing!
everything came out great!! i couldn’t have asked for a better fiesta!

and just a little tidbit on why it’s fiesta de gingerbean…my due date is may 5th… cinco de mayo, and my husband has the most red beard ever and well…i’m mexican.
so gingerbean!!

so glad my tummy popped earlier than most (2nd pregnancy apparently does that to you) so that i could sport a little bump!
how fricken sweet is this?! we love our little ginger bean so much already!

 thankful for these amazing women that i have in my life. you guys always make me feel so special! we know our little man will be so loved!

i cannot thank my best-friend and all the wonderful people that helped her with this gorgeous surprise baby shower. i am so lucky.

**sidenote** so sorry i have been mia, ya’ll. this pregnancy has been kicking my ass. i am into my second trimester and still sicker than a dog. so blogging has been on the backburner as of late. i am hoping that i start feeling better soon and when/if that happens i will get back to our weekend shenanigans and some home updates. thank you guys for sticking with me through it all!
