i had the busiest day at work so i just relaxed on the couch as soon as i got home. i’m hoping that work slows down soon, it’s been so hectic! year end always makes me want to pull my hair out.

saturday

stupid cats woke me up incredibly early so i took advantage of the empty streets and hit an early morning barre class. my first class in 4 months! whoa….and OW OW OW! my person hurts alllll over! it felt so good to be back at it again!

we headed out to pick up my mother-in-law from the airport and i had way too much fun with a new app i downloaded. you can hear jaz cracking up in the background…hahaha! it gets me every time!

after picking her up we headed down to university village to meet up with cale’s sister, who was in from out of town as well, and brother for some delicious, albeit unhealthy as poop, delfino’s pizza! nom nom nom jaz loves when she gets to see her auntie berit!

and then of course we had to stop at trophy cupcakes to get my favorite cupcake ever…CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER! oh my goodness so good!

after sleeping in a little i got up and got ready to go to my sister-in-law’s baby shower! from left to right is bea {cale’s sister}, momma jo {cale’s momma}, glowing momma-to-be kelsey, and yours truly! i married into a wonderful family and i am forever grateful! we cannot wait to love and adore our new nephew, yay for baby boy anderson!

again, so lucky to now have all these women in my life.
also…what a day it was!

it was another great weekend for us. we are always excited to see berit and momma jo when they come in town and catch up on the recent shenanigans.
and cheers to the first baby shower of the year! i have another one for a friend next weekend and then another in march…IN TEXAS! woop woop, i can smell the kolaches and breakfast tacos already!

i just wanted tacos alll day friday. i miss texas and i miss tacos. and big red. oh and hot fritos.

friday night we had dinner plans with our friends, shannon & galen, and their two precious babies! this little munchkin is our flower girl and jaz just adores her!

she is the tiniest out there but that doesn’t phase her! her little high kick at the end cracks me up! you can hear me laughing at the end… hehehehe!

oh you know…just regular family shenanigans.

i was alllll ready to go head to my full body intensive at pure barre buttttt 70 mph winds and rain had other plans in store for me. yeah, i sat in traffic for two hours to get about 3 miles from home and back. we went through a wicked wind storm and boy did it cause some major damage.

this is our neighbors house…a huge limb went completely through their roof and into their baby’s room! thank goodness the baby wasn’t hurt and momma was able to get him out. ugh so so scary! can you see the tree on top of their house??? eek!

welp, since we couldn’t go anywhere (everyone’s power was out except ours, luckily) we decided to start packing up all the wedding things that have to be sent down to tejas! cale is super excited about our koozies 🙂

cale’s momma is in town, so we went and had crepes and coffee! nom nom.

after breakfast, momma jo and i went thrift shoppin’ for some wedding things. i can’t wait to get these babies shined and painted all prettiful!

i know this one is kind of dark but lulu was letting jaz love on her and it was so sweet! we love the lulu cuddles!!

holy weather batman! if you live in seattle, did your power get knocked out or did the wind cause any damage??
it got super scary at one point, with every crack we heard in the tree behind us we just cringed.
but
the rain was nice. we definitely needed that.

 i finished a pure barre challenge! yayyy!! 25 classes in 30 days, whew!!

 coming home and checking the mail is by far my favorite thing to do each day. getting our rsvps back is so exhilarating!

 we went out to our favorite mexican restaurant and of course momma had to get a margarita!

 a regular service appointment for lucy {my car} landed me in this beaut… please, please sense the sarcasm.
oh and i get to stay in this bad boy until tuesday!

 it was just me and this minion all day

 a couple chai teas and manis never hurt anybody!

 so fresh and purdy!

 we got lots and lots of wedding errands taken care of, which includes perusing hobby lobby & michael’s.

 panera lunch date, om nom nom. it was pretty chilly, sitting at a cool 57° all day long and rainy! brrrr, hot soup was necessary.

 i did a whoopsie and got the most fantastic sunnies. i can’t wait till they come in!

 you guys…my little toothless is getting so big! how on earth do i have a 7 year old?! it’s crazy!

 we had a brunch date with our good friends, aaron, misha and little miss eloise, at the most delectable restaurant in seattle. fellow seattleites will agree…portage bay is the bomb!

 stealing some snugs from my lusers. this is a rarity, folks. so….remember this.

we seriously are so thrilled with how many rsvps we have gotten back. more than half of our guests have returned them! i honestly was thinking that we wouldn’t even get a third back. sheesh, shows how pessimistic i am, right?! ugh, these make me so happy! i can’t wait to see all of these wonderful faces!

i can’t believe another week has come and gone, i’ve been so busy focusing on our wedding that i just realized the year is almost over! WHAT?! christmas stuff is out at hobby lobby and that freaks me out!

 friday morning i woke up to the sweetest repost from love ophelia! i ordered my bridesmaid’s robes from them and i adore them! if you are a bride in need of getting ready robes, i 100% support love ophelia!

 after a dermatologist appointment i worked on this all day… eek!! sometimes payroll makes my head hurt.

 the leaves are changing! fall is just around the corner! and you know what that means??? WEDDING TIME!

 after work, getting some blood drawn and shopping with jazmina, i went and had drinks with a coworker.

 how awesome does this look?! i bought this a while back {mine’s sold out but {here} is a similar one} and i needed to have it personalized. luckily, my friend, misha, is seriously the best calligrapher and said she would whip this up for me! i absolutely love it!! thanks misha!!

jaz went to a friend’s from school birthday party while cale and i got to celebrate this little munchkin’s first birthday! happy birthday little miss eloise!!!

 after a longggg day it was time to go night-night. do any other couples do this at night? haha we get snuggled in and then like clockwork we whip out our phones and surf away.

 i posted a ‘mini sephora haul – nars lip pencils‘ review. come see why i’m raving about them!

 okay okay…i’m admitting to actually liking kacey musgraves. i really really disliked her because of how she treated the bobby bones show {a country morning radio show that started in austin but now is syndicated all over the u.s.} she just came off really yucky and mean. in a recent bit that they did they went over their favorite albums that were just released and surprisingly this was one of them. they played a song on it so i thought i’d give it a go and…. yep i absolutely love it!
anyway! the whole reason for that blurb was just to say that i was jamming to this cd while i was cooking breakfast for my two loves. haha

 we had a few trees in our yard that looked a little sad so we went to the nursery to get a few plants that would fair a little better.

 after barre we all went grocery shopping! it’s a lot faster when cale comes because he just pushes the cart right behind me and i just throw things in. ‘easy’ is also a relative term when you have a 7 year old in tow. “can i have this? oh oh i need this! mommy, can i get this??”

this weekend was busy! with some recent health issues i’m really looking forward to the next quiet one. a weekend where we have no plans and nothing to do.
one can dream right?

 started my friday off with my 10th pure barre class in a row! woohoo!

 after barre i went and got a mani/pedi and an eyebrow wax, it was so long overdue! then cale and i packed up and went on our way to coeur d’alene, idaho to visit some of our very good friends!

one of the rest stops we stopped at was a wind farm! whodathunk it would be crazy windy?! haha look at my hair!

 every time we come and visit, it is a must that we stop at the old european. this is cale’s favorite breakfast place of allllll time! so yummy!

 we had to say our goodbyes and head on our way back home. it’s been so dry lately that little dust devils were everywhere!

 i came home to a 20 pound box full of gorgeous wedding invitations!! these get sent out in one week, you guys!! one week! ahhhh!!

came home to see these beautiful blooms in our front yard! i think it’s ph level is confused because the blooms are yellow and pinkish!

 since seattle has been so sunny all of my plants are thriving! i kill every kind of plant so this makes me so happy to see!

 cale went out with his buddy to the bar so i treated myself to a filet mignon and some veggies! om nom nom

this guy is a super creep in the morning. oh chandler bingers!   cale has been joining me a lot at pure barre and i love it! he definitely got his booty kicked this time.

we stopped by cale’s brother’s new home that they just bought and fell in love with the neighborhood…which then ended up with us touring 4 new homes. ugh i can’t wait until we buy a new home!!

 our neighbors just opened up their new bottleshop so we went a checked it out! so awesome and so many different beers on tap!

we were only supposed to go to men’s wearhouse to choose some bowties for the guys…yeahhh i changed their whole entire suits…but i did choose the bow ties too!

 after laundry and some cleaning, i headed out to my 5th barre class in a row with the hardest instructor out there! sami, you kick my ass every single time!

jazmina is having a blast in texas and she lost another tooth!!
i miss her so so much, luckily, we get her back in 12 days!

 both cale and i had off on friday to observe the holiday. this is rare…cale never gets the holidays off. so he joined me for an early morning barre class! he’s such a trooper!

ugh…cale tried teaching me to drive stick. lol. no.
enjoy these…oh and my excuse to stop is “i’m getting closer to cars, i’m sweating and i’m hungry and i’m really hungry.”

 after the death lesson of trying to learn a stick shift, i got to pamper myself with a mani, pedi and eyebrow wax! ugh i love my salon // splash nail bar

 after the salon i went home and took a little cat nap with my future husband. technically, i slept on his chest and he watched tv. sighhhh. anyway, after i woke up we got ready and headed out to an appointment i had at // the wax bar // some other things needed some attention, one word, OUCH! but ladies who live in seattle, these ladies take care of you! i highly recommend this place!

 after the self-induced torture we decided to go ‘adulting’. since jaz is still in texas, cale and i are able to go and have a couple beers and enjoy just being in each other’s company. we still miss our baby girl though.

 after dinner we got to see our friends new house that they just bought and we were blown away by their view! so gorgeous!

 saturday we slept in, had breakfast in bed and literally did nothing until 3 pm. that was when i had to get up and run to the store so i could make my pasta salad // here // for a get-together at our neighbors house. fourth of july means red•white•blue everywhere!

 i ducked out of the party a little early because i couldn’t hang in the sun. i got really nauseous and light headed…was i ever a texan? seriously, what the hell. so when cale came back home we relaxed and finally watched ‘gone girl’…what in the ever living…what!!?? this movie was crazy! women are effing psycho, man!

 i went to an early morning barre class and basked in my sticky socks glory. i have more than this but these were just the pairs that i had just washed. a girl can never have too many sticky socks…never.

 cleaning soon turned into this. cale and i are mature, i promise.
at least we know that the new luggage we got for aruba will hold all of my clothes… 😉

 hot summer days means extremely oily kitties. and oily kitties means matted fur…soooo that means…kitties get combed!

 cale left early friday morning to surprise his dad in arizona for his birthday. bye honey! see you on sunday!

 someone was pooooooped when i picked her up from the children’s center. they made sure she played hard for her last day.

i let jaz sleep with me for her last night at home. i had to get my cuddles in!

 i hate this part…waiting for my baby to board a plane all by herself to take her to her father’s for a whole month!

 pre-bawling.
this was my third time dropping her off for the summer and it still hasn’t gotten any easier. cale is usually with me so i can hide my face in his shoulder when i start to cry so jaz won’t see me. but i was all by my lonesome which is probably why i cried a lot harder. i don’t know why i get so upset, i know she is going to have fun, get spoiled rotten and be safe, but i just can’t help myself. luckily, i wasn’t the only momma who was dropping off her babies so we sat together and waited for the plane to taxi out. ughh, sob fest!

 i needed some good ol’ carbs after all that crying and the airport is the only place in washington that has a chili’s so i stopped in and had some enchilada soup and queso! oh my goodness, yummmmm!

 crying and being by myself means retail therapy…right?!
unpucker that butthole honey…i didn’t buy this, but i really wanted to!

 so seattle has been a little warm lately…and by warm i mean almost 90°. before you laugh, know that, that is VERY hot for seattle. and need i remind you that houses in the pnw DO NOT have AC…. so shut up and don’t laugh when we complain. anyway i thought i had enough water but apparently i didn’t because i got incredibly sick while i was walking around u-village and had to cut my shopping short so i could go lay down and try not to throw up at home.
lucky for me, cale just installed our ac unit downstairs so it was nice and cool. because i couldn’t do much i opted to watch american sniper…whoa. such a great movie.

 meanwhile…cale is having a ball in arizona…super jealous.

 i drank nothing but water the night before to recuperate so i was ready to tackle an early morning barre class.

 i stopped by veggie grill on my way home and got the most delicious salad. if you haven’t had veggie grill yet, go! it is a completely vegan restaurant but you wouldn’t notice unless you researched more into it! “oh but you got fried chicken on your salad, that’s not vegan” ahem excuse me…that’s not chicken that tempeh and it’s delicious. oh my gosh so yummy!

and that about sums up my lonesome weekend.
these next few weekends are going to be intense so stay tuned! it’s about to get super interesting!

 a few inches taller, 3 less teef and no longer a first grader…what is happening and where is my baby going?

 i was pumped to go see this! what a great idea and such a great storyline. not gonna lie…i cried. 😥

 getting wedding ready required a fitbit…duh! did y’all know that tory burch makes high fashion covers for these??? hmmmm…. 🙂

 made some infused lemon water to start my day off.

 i’m back on that pure barre grind. i love that the restrooms here are called ‘pure pottys’!

 morning workout = green dream shake for breakfast. in all honesty it’s really not THAT bad…not something i would crave, but not horrible.

 we went to this precious baby girl’s first birthday party! happy birthday lil’ g!

 might be the last time we get to see this view. our friends are moving at the end of the month..bye bye lakehouse 😦 oh oh i saw three bald eagles right after i snapped this…whaaaaa! it was awesome!

 after all the party shenanigans, we stopped by the root beer store to indulge ourselves in some delicious rootbeer floats! yummmmm

 cale has been needing some new sandals…that means 3 new pair of shoes for him and 3 for me…whoops…this is obviously just 4 out of the 6 pair we got.

 cale didn’t really want to do much for father’s day except relax at home. so i let him relax and the kitties and i stripped the bed and cleaned house. they freak out when i make the bed. CLEAN SHEETS MUST ATTACK ALL THE AIR BUBBLES!

 after the laundry and house was cleaned we went for a little walk for some slurpees at the 7-11 around the corner. why do they neverrrr have cherry?! ugh!

 jaz lost another tooth! that makes the fourth one in total but the second one THIS WEEK! uhm…the tooth fairy was not prepared and did not have as much cash as she did for the last tooth…damn inflation rate is going to make that fairy broke! $10 for a tooth these days…i got quarters when i lost my teeth! wth!

 i hope everyone had a great weekend and i hope all you fathers out there were pampered and recognized!

pure barre challenge – 20/50

i’ve made it to the 20 class mark! woop woop! today i’m going to take you lovely people through a class and what i think in my mind. it’ll be fun! but first here are some measurement differences. still a little bit of change but i think this is the point where i’m going to start plateauing.
**side note: my weight fluctuated so much these last 10 classes…stupid super bowl.

-lift those knees.lift and lift. hands are up now…reachhhhhhh. alright now pull down & down. and opposite elbow to opposite knee…shit, my hips keep turning. back to center and pull down for 10, that’s 3, here’s 4 get it 5 thats 6, 7, 8 9 and 10. whew, i didn’t breathe through any of that. awesome…
-ugh the ab warm up. you want me to bring my legs up and the same time i bring my torso up…. okay i’ll try

 -i tried. fail
-and arms. bend your knees and bend over. wait, is my back straight, am i hinged over enough. great she’s coming to me. oh yay, she said great job and didn’t touch me. woop.
– holy crap.. palms to the floor is my worst enemy. lift and lift and lift now squeeze in {my arms are straight behind me, while I’m hinged forward and i have weights in my hands. as high as they can go without bending my arms…for those confused.}
-heavier weights… ouch…wait, headrush. 4 pounders now, i’m a beast… i wonder if i look like this…
-lol that’s a negative.
-aw man…it’s thighs… i hate thighs. will she notice if i just disappear for thigh work?
-2 more position to go…eff me.
-can’t…control…the shaking!!!!! “shaking is good, you want to shake!” nope, i don’t… it makes my cheeks jiggle…both pairs.

-praise jesus, hallelujah it’s over! ow ow ow cramps… eekkk!
