weekend shenanigans

happy monday!!!
hope everyone had a great weekend!
as you can see, i’ve changed “our weekend adventures” to “weekend shenanigans”. that’s just much more us and fits us way better than ‘adventures’.
so here we go!

friday

casual fridays are my favorite!!! and i’m selling chocolate for jaz’s cheer squad…need so choco-lottttt? #MomLife

i picked up some mod pizza and a delicious salad for the fam bam on my way home from work. seriously, i could live off of their salads!

saturday

i was so pooped friday that i didn’t even change out of my shirt that i wore all day. so saturday morning looked a lot like friday night.

and the cheer season has begun! our saturdays are now completely booked up until december! first up, carwash!! the girls raised close to $600!! holy cannoli!

if you ever come over for a dinner party or any kind of get-together at my house you can almost always count on me making guacamole. i swear, it will be my legacy.

momma jo has been staying with us for the past week and will be for this coming week too! she’s been helping with watching austin while i’m back at work and until he can go to day care. thanks momma jo!! she lives in arizona so the cooler temps are a dream for her and she is literally just laying in the grass reading a book. hehehe

auntie bea is in town too!!! last time she was here austin was still pretty fresh and pretty boring to say the least haha now he’s all smiles for his auntie!

before aaron & kelsey came over we all went for a walk around the neighborhood. admiring and judging people’s yards is basically the norm on our walks now.

this handsome dude enjoyed some sun while sissy & cousin olen played in the pool!

champagne…3 glasses and i felt like complete poop the next day. but chateau st michelle’s brut rosè is so good!

this dude is always the happiest in the mornings! look at those legs!!

it’s finally starting to cool off and i loathhhhheee the ac unit being in our living room. it’s so ugly, but necessary! (seattle homes do not have ac, i got lots of questions about that on snap over the weekend lol) but anyway, this came out! woohoo!

after bathtime, farmor got in some finger chewing. our boy is ferociously teething so if your fingers are near, he will use them.

austin has been trying out new solids for about a week now. i’ve been testing out the organic gerber first foods just to see which ones he really takes to so that i’m not wasting a lot of veggies but he is so hit and miss on most nights that i just decided to start making all of them now. mmmm carrots carrots carrots!

what did you do this weekend?? gearing up to send your kiddos to school? i know the south has started already but we don’t start until 2 days after labor day! seems so late!

we met up with our neighbor/friend and her two kiddos for crepes and shopping afterward. she had never been to jewel box so jaz & i thought it was a must!

i was in desperate need of a pedi and an eyebrow wax so the hubby stayed home with the kiddos and and i got to sneak out for an early appointment.

eggs & bakey for breakfast!

we went on a cleaning kick on saturday and cale deep cleaned our bathroom, including my makeup organizer. but this is how he put everything back in it! geeeezzzzz!

we went and celebrated this handsome boy’s 5th birthday!

grocery shopping sunday and the whole clan came with!

bedtime bottles with papa! it’s becoming quite the task to get this guy to eat without squirming everywhere and pushing the bottle out so he can sneak his hands in.

after brother went to bed, sister got to make slime! i am SOOOOOOOO READY for this slime phase to be overrrrr!!

and of course to end the night once both kids are sleeping, GAME OF THRONES!!!

told ya it was a good weekend to start our adventures back up! the weather has turned cooler over the last few days and i’m okay with it. the last month has been HOT! plus i always get excited when we get closer to taking out that god awful ac window unit.

last friday

i have been so into chocolate milk these days. my glass keeps getting bigger and bigger, now i’m up to a large coffee thermos! it’s just so cold and delicious!

last saturday

i made lulu & chandler mini pancakes and neither were amused. ungrateful little poop heads!

i take it back…lulu loved the butter. shoulda named her paula dean!

last sunday

i started on austin’s laundry and cale was blown away and so perturbed that an actual human being is going to fit into this! he was positive i shrunk all of his clothes.

my little guy has dropped, or at least i think he has! i can finally breath (for the most part) and i have so so so much pressure in my pelvic area! let’s go baby boy! mama is ready for you!

i’m missing two, my sister-in-law, kelsey, and good friend, britt but thank you gals (and your husbands) for making this day so special for us! it was so much fun!

after the shower we headed home and installed austin’s car seat and we have two car seats in our car now….TWO! i’m going to have two kids you guys….anxiety attack anxiety attack!!!

no one wanted to get up sunday morning, including the lusers!
i would just like to point out that they are both on MY side of the bed. cale always seems to manage to scoot over and use my pillow and lulu…well, she’s just a tard.

i got my breast pump this weekend…the industrial kind haha. so i just HAD to try out my pump bra! hehehehehe obviously i have no modesty. sorry not sorry?

it was a very eventful weekend to say the absolute least. we are getting so close to our due date, 31 days to be exact, so it is crunch time!!

friday night means mama doesn’t cook! these two decided on a coloring competition….psshh like i could really pick on who colors better! i’m switzerland!

i was craving a nice juicy steak! and yes i got it medium…not medium well. judge allllll you want!

towards the end of our meal i was les miserable. so we went straight home and all snuggled in our bed. jaz and cale are watching inception and i was trying to calm austin down in my belly. we are going to have a full house once he comes! maybe it’s time for a king size bed….

i ran errands alllll morning getting ready for our family maternity shoot in the late afternoon. I CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE THOSE WITH YALL!!! it was cold and blustery so we all needed a nice, big bowl of pho!

we got up and of course did our sunday cleaning and had our family breakfast but as soon as we were done i headed to costco to stock up on a few things. have yall tried these san pellegrinos?! holy deliciousness!!

AND THEN….IT WAS BABY TIME!!!!

my heart is so full & happy you guys! holding those sweet babies just made me that much more excited to hold & meet my son!

low and behold…i am sick yet again! -_-
i seriously can’t catch a friggen break!

i posted our 8 month update {HERE} so if you missed it, here you go!

while i was miserable on the couch, cale was intently working on his lego car that jaz and i got him for his birthday.

saturday

we got to tour the hospital we will be delivering at! it kinda made it even that much more real that we are going to have a baby so soon!!!

jaz got a kick out of where i put my visitor pass.

we were supposed to go to mexican on cale’s actual birthday {thursday} but that’s when the cold hit me hard so we had to postpone. we love this place!

after our food coma, we headed home and i took a nap. the cold was beating me up. but when i woke up, cale was out with his friend for birthday shenanigans so jaz and i took advantage and went and got some froyo!! yum!

sunday morning family breakfast was homemade biscuits and gravy. this is seriously the easiest thing to make and is so stinkin’ delicious!

sunday is usually our cleaning day, which we got a lot done but belly bumpin sounded so much more fun!

in the evening we taught jaz how to hate us, aka we taught her how to play monopoly. unfortunately, she did shed some tears {not joking} but we assured her that it is enevitable when first learning to play. {she was just bummed that she had to mortgage all her property to pay her mama, who ended up being the big winner!} in good time, young grasshopper, in good time.

i really wanted to get a lot done this weekend but this stupid cold kept my energy levels pretty low. i really think it’s just serious allergies because i didn’t feel achey or sore anywhere, just a runny nose. all i know is i need to kick this bugger because i have some babies to meet this weekend!!!

seeing me sitting wayyyyyy back in my chair at work is totally normal to my coworkers now. austin likes to hang out in my ribs as of late and holy hell is that super comfy…

i’m not usually a political person but this was pretty funny. and in honor of the inauguration, i thought i’d post it here.

saturday

jaz and i went out and had a little shopping fun. tell me how it’s possible that i scored a pair of cute maternity jeans from old navy for $1.47!!!! what in the what!!

i’ll touch more on this in my monthly update but my little testosterone son has been wreaking havoc on my skin! so i had to take it a notch up from just cetaphil. also, do you know how hard it is to find pregnancy friendly acne/facial anything that actually works!? goodness! but lucky for me all of these babies are safe and i can’t wait to see how they work!

lunch with this pretty girl! i’ve been trying to get in as many mommy-daughter dates as i can before her baby brother comes. it’s going to be so weird that she won’t be my only baby anymore. it’s just been about her for the past 8 years!

after we snagged cale for some dinner we all headed to target to return some god awful curtains that i chose for austin’s nursery (i ended returning the ones i got in exchange too, a total of 3 different trips for damn curtains y’all) anyway, we came across this really awesome airplane, nail stringy thing! we just had to have it!

normal sunday morning breakfast and my pancakes were coming out beautiful! i mean look at those golden cakes!

this little turd! i knew one of them was jumping in the crib but now we have proof. actually i now know that both of them are jumping in, i caught lulu a little later on.

cale steamed the floors and lulu took advantage of the bar stools being out. we have such a purdy kitty cat!

it may have been raining and below 40° but i still wanted shaved ice so so so bad!

we don’t know how many times we have to tell jazmyne to “PUT LULU DOWN” so cale decided to give her a taste of her own medicine.

almost 7 months, y’all! wooooo! i love my little basketball!

it was supposed to be a productive weekend buttttt i think it just kind of slipped through our fingers because we didn’t get much done around the house. which stinks because i will be in texas next weekend. oh well. i’ll get what i need done this week.

my sciatica has been really acting up lately so i spent the majority of my day on my fun bouncy ball! this thing is so much fun!

i am trying to find a light fixture for austin’s room and did you know that the land of nod‘s online store has knock knock jokes on every item page?! i’m such a sucker for bad jokes so i was on this site for a while reading every one! how fun!

saturday morning i got to celebrate the pending arrival of baby lower #2! i am so excited to meet this little girl or boy! i think it’s another girl! ❤

the hawks had a late game against the lions so we decided on good ol’ pizza and wings! thank goodness they pulled off a win! and gooooodd lord all of richardson’s catches were insane! not to mention the butt catch by baldwin! hehehe

this guy can never seem to wake up in the morning with jaz & i. he’s like a little kid when i open the shades. ‘no mom, i don’t wanna!’ but you bet your butt as soon as he smells the pancakes, sausage and potatoes, he’s up!

every sunday morning i make a big breakfast and we all eat together without the tv and without our phones. it’s really hard to do this during the week since i leave the house before cale & jaz are even out of bed. so eating at least one breakfast together is really important to me.

after breakfast it was back to the grind. the holidays are over which means our schedule isn’t all cattywampus, which meannnnss sunday is back to our cleaning, grocery shopping and laundry day! i still have so much work to do in through the whole house so this isn’t finished being decorated but all of the christmas decor is down and it makes me so sad!

 
with jaz back and our schedules back to normal means we are back to dinners everynight, snacks and lunches for school, you know…the mom life! weekly grocery trips always hit hard…i can’t even imagine what it’ll be like with a family of 4 and when austin hit’s his teen years….OH MY GOD! now taking donations for the anderson food fund.

anyone else a huge fan of meyer’s cleaning supplies, basil scent in particular? because i can sit at a table and smell this all day!

our cat, ya’ll. she’s such a dork!

phew! it was such a busy weekend! we got so much done, and by “we”, i mostly mean cale. here’s a list of everything my hubby got done this weekend.
• finished the trim and all of the woodwork on his cl-office
• painted all the trim and shelves about a hundred times because he’s a perfectionist & didn’t like how it was laying down….
• took down all of our outside christmas lights/decor
• painted austin’s nursery… {!!!!!}
• came to my rescue every time i dropped something, seriously, bending over is literally the hardest thing to do these days.
• helped me rearrange the formal living room.
• changed the oil in his car
• and after all of that…STILL cuddled and rubbed my belly!
he’s a keeper you guys. i love my handy man!

i’m backkkkk!
nausea has finally kicked the bucket and i have most of my energy back!
WOOHOO!!

so with that, i am back to blogging about our shenanigans on the weekends. and what a great weekend to get back in the mix. jazmyne is leaving for texas on wednesday so we celebrated our christmas eve & christmas this weekend.
so here we go!

we had an appointment to check up on baby a {which is a boy!} and his anatomy and everything looks perfect! he is perfect! and look how cute!
i promise to do a recap on the bump, that post is in the works!

cale took jaz to altitude, which is an indoor trampoline park so i unboxed the most awesome package ever! my mother-in-law sent us all of her wedding china and threw in a couple of other awesome pieces! they are so beautiful, i don’t ever want to use them!

jaz & i went shopping for some xmas gifts for family and supplies for the night and christmas morning and this belly is getting quite large! and i am so in love! i always said before i got pregnant that i loved being pregnant with jaz. and now that i am in the clear with the nausea i am back to feeling that way! it’s amazing what my body is doing and i am absolutely obsessed with it!

cale just had to try on this vest before i returned it. what a fashionista!

cookie time!!!

it’s been a tradition, ever since jaz was a baby, to decorate sugar cookies on christmas eve. these two were so serious!

our master-pieces! andddd of course cale has to make his inappropriate.

another xmas eve tradition, jaz gets to open a present! it usually is a movie, some sort of snack and pjs! this year she got the secret life of pets.

once everyone changes into their pjs, we make palettes {or forts, depending on the mood} and watch jaz’s movie while drinking hot cocoa and eating our cookies!

it’s christmas morning! time to open presents!

so i got this for cale but it’s secretly for me too! god i love this game!

the aftermath…yikes. you can’t see her but there is a cat underneath there. she loves to be buried with paper. freaking weirdo!

one of jaz’s xmas gifts was a lego american girl set that she did all day. literally…not once did she ask to watch tv or play on the ipad. she just sat there at the table all day long! parent win!

while jaz was busy putting together her lego set, i got some free time to get some sunday cleaning done. anyone else just feel happy when they are done cleaning their kitchen and it looks this pretty!? i love me a clean kitchen!

i also finally got around to putting all of the fall decor away! see you next year!!

we finished our night with quite a few games of guess who. another present that we got jaz! nostalgia much?

what a great weekend! we will miss our mina girl this christmas but we always know she is going to have so much fun every time she goes to texas, so it makes my heart feel a little bit better. and while it will be so weird to wake up christmas morning without a child we just remember that next year we will have TWO children to share such a wonderful holiday with! so with that happy note…

can you tell i have a type a personality? i have to make lists on days that i am just way too busy to keep my priorities straight. do you make to-do lists?

that was the only picture i had for friday. we had to go pick up the u-haul truck and load up the rest of our house.

we woke up early and kept loading everything in the truck! this guy didn’t even have time to throw some water in his hair to tame that bed head!

what a creep.

lucky for me, our friends lived right down the road from our storage unit! they actually just came to buy our coffee and end tables buttttt, i recruited his help so that us wives could sit in the truck and play pokemon!!

after two trips to the storage unit, we had some time to check in on our new home! if you follow me on snapchat {@jaevas} and you should, then you got to vote on how i should put the furniture in the formal living room! thank you for everyone’s help! numero uno was the weener!

after all of the moving shenanigans, we went to our friends house for a little gamenight! isn’t this pickle lady the cutest??

sunday morning we got to sleep in a little but not too late because we had to get up and load the uhaul again! but this time with trash to take to the dump! goodness gracious am i sore! after all the heavy lifting we treated ourselves to some carbful goodness! tempura fried pickles are the best!!

we also had to catch them all while lunching.

we needed to pick up something from homegoods for the kitties and we found this to be quite funny…can you spot cale? hehe

everytime we run to petco we always stop to play with the kittens first. this old guy was so sweet!

if you don’t have a target red card…you should. don’t worry, it’s not a credit card! i mean you can get a target credit card but i don’t…i have the debit card! it’s linked directly to my bank account just like a normal debit card BUT i save 5% every time i use it! okay that’s #1. #2: have you downloaded cartwheel ? no? THEN GET WITH THE GAME PEOPLE! so many good deals to be had on that app! oh my goodness! and finally #3, download the regular target app and keep an eye on the mobile coupons…do not confuse those coupons to be part of cartwheel…THEY ARE SEPERATE!!!
just this trip alone i saved $21.49…that’s like a free shirt!
so why are you not saving? start saving!

i went and traded in my charge for this sleek beauty! fitbit alta, you get me.

it was another busy weekend for us andersons. we thought that we were going to be moving out and into our friends house but a little snafu happened and we were able to stay another week in our house!
we are, however, on the homestretch of closing on our current home! the appraisal is in and now it’s just paperwork time! if everything goes smoothly, we will close with the buyers this friday! wahoooooo!!!!

after the weeks i’ve been having, this was much needed!

we had to wake up early to make jazmina’s uniform fitting for her new cheer squad. it was near the new house so of course we stopped by and hung out in it for a few hours.
you could say we are obsessed! i can’t wait to spend countless hours in this huge tub!! eek!

we were pretty hangry and needed food fast, and be we i mean me. it’s always me.
luckily for us there was an AWESOME bbq joint just down the road! this is the best bbq i’ve had in the pnw since i moved from texas. seriously. it was delicious!

i got my first facial ever and it was amazing!!
fresh face seattle, y’all. she is amazing!

another one of my friends is having a baby boy!! i saw these outfits and just had to buy them! i mean… LOOK AT THESE!!!! oh my goodness!

summer olympics are BY FAR my most favorite thing to watch. mainly just for gymnastics! i’ve been watching them since i could walk and i ain’t stoppin’!
so of course i tuned in to the olympic trials to see which 5 young women would be representing usa in rio and…..THIS IS IT!!!
even though there is a lot of controversy with gabby douglas making the team {considering she placed 7th} i still think marta made the right decision.
but holy moly is this the dream team!! simone biles is a beast!!!!
